A Little Update From Us
We wanted to take a moment to keep you updated on what’s been happening behind the scenes at What The Wax.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been incredibly busy working hard to get our website fully built and all of our products uploaded. As many of you know, we offer a wide range of fragrances and colour options, which means each listing takes a considerable amount of time to create and upload individually. Unfortunately, there isn’t an easy or automated way for us to do this, so it’s been a slow and detailed process to make sure everything is accurate and presented just right for you.
We’ve also been very busy making up some new wax melts in a selection of colours and scents chosen by us. These will be launching in a brand new section of our shop called “Pre-Made”. This will be a limited stock range that is ready to ship within 24 hours. All other items in our shop will continue to be made to order, requiring a 24–48 hour production time before dispatch, so this new section will be perfect for anyone wanting something a little quicker.
Alongside this, we’ve also experienced some unexpected challenges with selling on Vinted. We were informed that we needed to switch to a Professional account, and all of our existing listings were removed. We spent a significant amount of time providing the required documentation and successfully re-registering as a business account, just in time to protect the sales we had already made during the transition period.
However, just under 24 hours later, our account was restricted again, and we were informed that we are not permitted to sell on the platform due to the handmade nature of our products. Despite our efforts to appeal and clarify our situation, we were advised that the decision would not be overturned.
As a result, we are now focusing our energy entirely on our website and our own marketing and advertising. While this has been a challenging setback for our small business, it also gives us the opportunity to build something more stable and independent for the future.
We truly appreciate all of your continued support, patience, and encouragement while we navigate these changes. Every order, message, and share genuinely helps our small business grow, and we’re so grateful to have you on this journey with us.
